Art curation began as early as 2002 at Giant Robot Store. The need for a dedicated art space spawned into opening GR2 Gallery, and then other shops and art spaces in San Francisco and New York. Each location had it's own local artists and audience. One benefit to having locations in multiple cities is that artists can have exhibitions across the country.
Giant Robot exhibitions began at Giant Robot Store in 2002 with Ai Yamaguchi and kozyndan.
Giant Robot 2 "GR2" began in 2003 to the present. The first three exhibitions were David Choe, Deth P. Sun, and kozyndan. We currently present 15-18 exhibitions annually.
Giant Robot San Francisco monthly exhibitions ran from 2003-2010.
Giant Robot New York monthly exhibitions ran from 2005-2010.
